Flower Ceremony and Easter Egg Hunt This Sunday, April 24

This Sunday we all join together in the Worship Center to celebrate a Unitarian Universalist ceremony that dates back to the 1920s and first took place in Prague. Please bring a flower for each family member. At the close of the service the children and youth help to lead us in a ritual that represents the gifts that we each bring to First UU and the gifts that we each receive from one another.
The Easter Egg Hunt which will take place in Fellowship Hall during the middle of the worship service features real eggs and milk chocolate eggs. If your child cannot have either, let us know by clicking on the comment link below. The preschool through 5th grade will leave the service after the story for the Easter Egg hunt. They will also prepare for their duties during the flower ceremony and learn the story of the first Flower Ceremony.

Youth may help with the Easter Egg hunt. To sign your youth up, click on the comment link below.

  3. I have deleted the names of youth volunteers who signed up because the blog is somewhat public. We now have 6 youth volunteers. Thank you so much. Please meet at the Sunday School Table at about 10:45 to get ready. Then at 11 you will hide eggs either outside or in Fellowship Hall, depending on the rain. After that you can supervise the egg hunt and remain with us until it is time to return to the Worship Service for the Flower Ceremony.
