Justice Sundays for PreK/K May 8 and 15, 10:30 am
We end the year with two nature experiences and we combine the two sessions. At 10:30 on May 8th the Scioto Audubon MetroPark educators has an experience of birds and bird habitat for families with preschool and kindergarten children. The following week everyone travels to Battelle Darby Creek Natural Play Area to explore the woods and creek.
Meet at the church at 10 am for carpooling on May 8 or at 9:45 on May 15 or meet at the locations. For carpooling sign up at the Sunday School Table or use the comments link below.
For the Audubon Center located 1 mile south of downtown Columbus:
From High Street (going south) turn right on Whittier (which runs along south end of German Village and Brewery District).
From Front Street (going north) turn left onto Whittier Follow Whittier, making no turns, across the bridge spanning the tracks, past the Police Impound Lot and the other side streets until you drive into the parking lot in front of the center.
For Battelle Darby Creek: the natural play area runs along Big Darby Creek and can be accessed from the Indian Ridge parking lot. The MetroPark is at 1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway, OH
Directions:
From I-270, take the West Broad Street (U.S. 40) exit west. Go about 5 miles on Broad Street and turn left on Darby Creek Drive. Main entrance is about 3 miles on the right.
Indian Ridge Prairie: 2705 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway, OH 43119. Continue south on Darby Creek Drive past the main park entrance about one mile. Entrance is on the right, just south of Alkire Road.
